Slaithwaite is located 4 miles west of Huddersfield in the picturesque Colne valley. And while it offers the benefit of a rural retreat it also has facilities that any ‘townee’ could need. It boasts a fine selection of shops, a bank, swimming pool and sports centre, a health centre as well as a fine selection of pubs, and is well placed for walks around the valley. |

The current renovation of the Huddersfield Narrow Canal means that it will soon be possible to sail a canal barge from Huddersfield right through to Ashton-under-Lyne in Greater Manchester. Stopping off in Slaithwaite as you go. Of Course! |
